Thursday, April 10 - Depart Newark, New Jersey International Airport for VIENNA, via Paris on Air France.
Friday, April 11 - Arrive VIENNA. Meeting and transfer to Hotel. Enroute to Hotel, orientation tour of Vienna. Remainder of day free to rest. Evening welcome dinner in the charming suburb of Neustift.
Saturday, April 12- VIENNA. Breakfast. Mass in a local church ,followed by a morning sightseeing tour which will feature the Hoffburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Belvedere Palace, Views of Prater Amusement Park, Un Buildings, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and other vivid reminders of the City’s Imperial history. In the afternoon - excursion to the Historic Vienna Woods. Return for dinner and Overnight.
Sunday, April 13 - VIENNA - BUDAPEST. Breakfast and Mass then depart for Budapest. Leaving the city and foothills of the Alps, we will proceed onward through the Region of Transdanubia. A stop will be made at GYOR, WHERE THE IRISH MADONNA ATTRACTS MANY PILGRIMS. Mass will be celebrated here. Continuing on, we will stop at the famous Danube Bend for a short time of embroidery shopping and finally a stop at Szentendre along the Danube Valley. Continue to Budapest. Dinner and enjoy a boat ride on the Danube. Overnight.
Monday, April 14- BUDAPEST. Situated on the opposite banks of the Danube River, the former cities of Buda and Pest are linked by a series of graceful bridges. After Breakfast, our morning sightseeing tour includes all the main attractions: Parliament, Royal Palace, Castle Hill Area, Fisherman’s Bastion, Coronation Church. After lunch (on own), continue with Hero’s Square, Gellert Hill, St. Stephen’s Basilica, where Mass will be celebrated. In the evening enjoy a special dinner at the Gypsy Tavern with folklore entertainment.
Tuesday, April 15 - BUDAPEST - KRAKOW. Breakfast and Morning Mass - depart Budapest for Krakow. The road to Krakow winds through the lovely hills and countryside of Slovakia, past the Tatras and into the Great Plains of Poland. A relaxing dinner in Krakow is planned upon your arrival. Overnight.
Wednesday, April 16 - KRAKOW - “THE POLISH ROME.” Breakfast. This morning we will take a walking tour of Old Town visiting some of the treasures of this wonderful old city. We will view the Town Hall Tower and the Cloth Hall located on the same site since the 14th century. St. Mary’s Church, the Hejnal and Jagellonian University, one of Europe’s oldest. We will celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Florian where Pope John Paul II served as a curate and where he lived while University Chaplain. Lunch on own. In the afternoon visit the 16th century Wawel Royal Castle, followed by the Armory, Treasury and Gothic Basilica of Wawel Cathedral, where generations of Polish Kings are buried. Dinner and overnight at Hotel. This evening we will travel to the CONVENT OF THE DIVINE MERCY, THE HOME OF ST. MARIA FAUSTINA. We will see the convent and visit the Sisters there.
Thursday, April 17, KRAKOW: AFTER BREAKFAST DEPART FOR A VISIT TO THE FAMOUS SALT MINE OF WIELICZKA, one of the oldest salt mines listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Monument. Visit the chapel there. Continue to Wadawice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II, visit the Pope’s house which is now a museum. Return Krakow. Dinner and overnight.
Friday, April 18 - KRAKOW. Today we will take an excursion to CZESTOCHOWA to see the “Black Madonna.” Return to Krakow - remainder of day free. Dinner and overnight.
Saturday, April 19- KRAKOW - PRAGUE. After breakfast and Mass at a local parish, depart Krakow and journey northwest to Prague. Enroute stop at the famous Auschwitz Concentration Camp with is Martyrdom Museum. Visit the Cell of St. Maximilian Kolbe at Auschwitz which was visited by Pope John Paul II, during his first visit to Poland after becoming Pope. Continue to Prague and your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Sunday, April 20 - - PRAGUE. After breakfast begin our tour of Prague and view the Basilica of St. George and convent, Wladislav Hall, Golden Lane, Loreto Church with remarkable treasury and Carillon playing every hour. Visit the famous Infant Jesus of Prague at the Church of Our Lady of Victory, where Mass will be celebrated. Lunch on own, followed by an afternoon tour of Prague including the Old Town with Astronomical clock, Jewish Quarter and Charles Bridge. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Monday, April 21- PRAGUE. This morning, transfer to the airport in Prague for return flight back to Newark, New Jersey International Airport via Paris on Air France

RATE INCLUDES: Air transportation as detailed. Three Star class Hotels based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room with bath (single accommodations available at supplemental charge). RESERVATIONS: DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS: Reservations may be secured upon receipt of your deposit in the sum of $300.00 per person. Reservations should be received no later than January 15, 2008. After January 15, a late registration fee of $50.00 may be imposed. Final Payment is due February 15, 2008. EARLY RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
AIR TRANSPORTATION: via Economy Class, based on a non-refundable air fare. Airlines reserve the right to impose full cancellation penalties. Anyone wishing to deviate from the tour must request this in writing and the price of your air ticket will be determined on an individual basis. Airlines due impose a minimum of $100.00 deviation fee and a minimum $75.00 additional stop-over fee. Requests for deviations must be received at least 95 days prior to departure.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: This pilgrimage will be accommodated in good 3-4 star hotels, based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room with private bath and or shower. A limited number of single rooms are available at a supplemental charge and they are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. If you are traveling alone and wish a share basis, we will do our best to arrange double occupancy. If a roommate is not available, a surcharge may be imposed. If you prefer a single room, please advice us and we will bill you accordingly. Again, Early Reservations are Recommended.
MEALS: Continental Buffet Breakfast and Dinner throughout.
SIGHTSEEING: Via deluxe air conditioned motorcoach, as specified in itinerary, English Speaking Tour Escort throughout and service of local, English Speaking Guides, all entrance fees unless otherwise noted in itinerary.
TRANSFERS & PORTERAGE: Round-trip transfers between airport and hotel are included with assistance and porterage in hotels. Porterage for one suitcase per person. Individuals are responsible for their carry-on luggage.
BAGGAGE: Allowed free of charge is one suitcase per person with a combined length, width and height of 62 inches with a maximum weight of 50lbs, plus one carry-on bag with total dimensions of 40 inches and a maximum weight of 30 lbs. Catholic Travel accepts no liability for lost or damaged luggage. Baggage insurance is recommended and a traveler’s insurance application will be sent to you upon receipt of your reservation.
AIRLINE SEAT ASSIGNMENTS: For group travel, seat assignments can be requested but will only be confirmed at check-in.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: All participants must be in possession of a valid U.S. Passport. If you are in possession of a passport from another Country other then the U.S., kindly contact us so that we can determine if any visas are required.
AIRLINE TAXES AND SECURITY CHARGE: Airline taxes and security charges are not included in the price of the tour. The amount charged for this pilgrimage is indicated on the front of your itinerary.
CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Catholic Travel Office. For cancellations received 95 or more days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of $150.00 is imposed. 94 - 60 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of $300.00 will be imposed. From 59 - 30 days prior to departure, the cancellation fee will be 50% of the cost of the Pilgrimage and within 30 days of departure, your cancellation fee will be 100%. Again all cancellations must be submitted in writing and the cancellation fees are determined on the day your cancellation notice is received. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU PURCHASE TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE AND THE APPLICATION FORM FOR THIS WILL BE SENT TO YOU AT THE TIME WE RECEIVE YOUR DEPOSIT.
FINAL PAYMENT: Final payment for this Pilgrimage is due no later than February 15. Failure to make your final payment by this date may result in the cancellation of your reservation and the forfeiture of your deposit. In addition to the above cancellation fees, once issued, airline tickets are non-refundable. Again, Traveler’s Insurance is strongly recommended.
RESPONSIBILITY: CATHOLIC TRAVEL OFFICE and their agents act only in the capacity of agents in all matters pertaining to hotel accommodations, sightseeing tours and all forms of transportation. Catholic Travel Office except for willful negligence on the part of its direct employees, is not responsible for any damage, loss (included but not limited to property loss, personal injury, loss of enjoyment, distress or life) caused by omissions of any supplier providing services for this pilgrimage or by any delays or changes in the itinerary, or acts or omissions by the tour leader. Catholic Travel Office reserves the right to cancel the pilgrimage at any time, to substitute a tour leader if necessary or to make changes in the itinerary whenever their sole judgment determines that conditions warrant a change or in their sole judgment, changes will improve the comfort, convenience and safety of the tour. The price of the tour is based on a minimum number of passengers which is indicated on your itinerary. If the minimum is not met, the price of the tour will be increased. The price of the tour is also based on tariffs and exchange rates in effect July 15, 2007. While we make every effort to keep these rates firm, they can be subject to increase. Airlines involved in this itinerary are not responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their aircraft or conveyance. The reservation and ticket issued for the passengers on this pilgrimage will constitute a sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of this tour.
